The bartenders competing in Gather Cup are hand-selected by the team at Gather 22—people who inspire us and push Indy’s cocktail scene forward. Each of them brings their own style, technique, and creativity behind the bar. Many also offer private event services, cocktail classes, and more.

The Night’s Intention – A Competition Built for the Industry
While there’s a cash prize and a title on the line, Gather Cup is about more than just winning. This event is about bringing the best in the business together in one room, creating energy, collaboration, and a celebration of Indy’s cocktail culture.
We want to see how the best bartenders handle pressure, push their creativity, and adapt on the fly—just like they do every night behind the bar.
The Rules: No Prepping, No Second Chances
Gather Cup is a three-round elimination battle, designed to test skill, speed, and adaptability.
Round 1 – The St. George ShowdownBartenders draw a mystery St. George Spirit and must craft a cocktail using only what’s behind the bar.
Round 2 – The Agave ThrowdownCompetitors draw either tequila or mezcal and must incorporate a mystery ingredient revealed at the start of the round.
Final Round – The Mystery ChallengeThe last bartenders standing face one final test—pushing their creativity, technique, and ability to think on their feet.
By the end of the night, only one bartender will claim victory.
